In all cases, visa holders will not receive an overstay fine during the grace period. However, if the holder does not change the visa status or leave the country, they will get a fine of AED 50 for each day.

7. Re-entry permits for those who left the UAE

The authorities allow a person who has been outside the UAE for more than 6 months to return to the country. However, the person must be the holder of a residence visa UAE and apply for a re-entry permit. Also, once you get the permit, you will need to enter the territory within 30 days.

Therefore, a person can stay more than 6 months outside the country and they will not cancel their residence permit.
